Suzanne Hanna, LCSW-R


Suzanne Hanna is a psychotherapist for Beyond Health helping individuals find emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being through introspective coaching and supportive programs. Ms. Hanna has a private practice in Bedford Hills working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. 

Prior to forming her own practice Ms. Hanna worked at Four Winds Hospital on a children’s inpatient psychiatric unit as well as The Four Winds Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program as a therapist and group facilitator. She developed a summer program for the hospital in order to help teenagers develop their personal identity while improving their self-esteem and sense of competency. 

Ms. Hanna has extensive training in the field of Psychodrama and uses action methods in her individual and group work. She is trained in animal assisted therapy and has used horses and dogs as a way to facilitate trust with children who have experienced trauma.. 

Ms. Hanna began her career in the theater, television, and film industry for eight years before going back to school with intention of combining her creative spirit with her passion for helping others. 

Ms. Hanna received a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dramatic Arts from New York University. She also holds a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) and holds a post-masters degree in Psychological Trauma and Recovery from Fordham University. She attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and received a certification from the Association For Drugless Practioners as a holistic health practioner.
